How to extend the volume on partition

 

Firstly right click on the windows icon on the task bar and select Disk Management option.

If not you can simply type the Disk management on search bar

Then it will open a disk management window like this 

I am going to extend my `E` partition. To extend the volume we need some unallocated space. There fore i delete my ` D` drive. To delete right click on the ` D` drive and select ` Delete volume...` and click yes.

Now it will show as unallocated space 

Now go to the ` E` drive that you want to extend the volume, right click on it and select `extend volume..` button.

Then it will open a new window. Click next and select amount amount of volume that you want to extend. Then click next.

Finally, click on the finish button to complete the process.

Now you can see it has extended the volume of the partition.
